Alan Schwartz to Retire from Superior Uniform Group

SEMINOLE, Fla. — Superior Uniform Group, Inc.® (NASDAQ:SGC) announced that President, Alan Schwartz, will retire from the Company effective March 31, 2017.  To ensure orderly succession and continuity of customer service, the Company and Mr. Schwartz have entered into a three year consulting agreement during which Mr. Schwartz will consult on a further reduced schedule each successive year.  As a consultant to the Company, Mr. Schwartz will continue to be actively involved with relationships with many of the Company’s key customers that he was instrumental in developing over his decades of service.

Mr. Schwartz stated, “My decision to retire emanated over the years from our comprehensive succession planning that was part of our strategic planning.  I am extraordinarily proud of what the Superior team has accomplished during my tenure, and am confident that the Company will continue to successfully execute its strategies and grow shareholder value.”
