American ready to test new crew uniforms

American Airlines is giving its new uniforms a second try.

The Fort Worth-based airline will be conducting a four-week wear test of its new uniforms for pilots, flight attendants, gate agents on September 28. Ground crews will be trying out their new uniforms sometime this winter.

The second test comes after employees tried out a different set of prototypes earlier this year and said they were too drab, ill-fitting and producing allergic reactions for some pilots. American hired fashion designers KAUFMANFRANCO in 2013 to develop new uniforms for the airline’s employees.
