PHILADELPHIA– Aramark, a global leader in food, facilities management and uniforms, proudly announced that it received a perfect score of 100 percent for the fourth consecutive year on the 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Aramark joins the ranks of 609 major U.S. businesses which also earned top marks this year.

“It’s no surprise that many top-scoring businesses are also top-performing businesses,” said HRC President Chad Griffin. “They know that creating inclusive workplaces and communities where their employees can thrive is an investment in their own competitive edge. That’s why LGBTQ-inclusive workplace policies are becoming the norm in the U.S., and having an impact around the globe.”

“Aramark is proud to once again be recognized by the Human Rights Campaign for achieving a perfect score on the Corporate Equality Index,” said Eric J. Foss, Aramark’s Chairman, President and CEO. “We share this recognition with our 270,000 team members around the world who are committed to creating a workplace culture that embraces diversity, equality and inclusion.”

The 2018 CEI rated 1,084 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. Aramark’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria results in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.
