iv012512lInvoTech Systems, Inc. today announced Revel, a $2.4 billion lifestyle resort on the Atlantic City Boardwalk, selected the GIMS™ Ultra-High Frequency Radio Frequency Identification (UHF-RFID) uniform tracking system. The GIMS™ system will provide easy, 24-hour automated uniform distribution and control for thousands of valuable garments worn by 5,800 resort staff members. Please click here for more information on InvoTech's uniform and laundry systems for efficient operations.

Revel relied on AJ Conveyor and Laundry Systems to oversee its total uniform system automation project. "Revel engaged us to plan its uniform system operation and recommend vendor systems that would create efficiencies that minimize costs. We recommended InvoTech for its GIMS™ uniform tracking and inventorying system because they perform very well in high-volume installations," said Anthony J. Bevilaque, president of AJ Conveyor and Laundry Systems.

Revel installs GIMS™ to save money, eliminate lost uniforms

"When the 47-story, 1,500-room Revel opens in spring 2012 it will be one of the largest resorts in Atlantic City and the first to use the advanced UHF-RFID GIMS™ inventory software system to track uniforms for its large staff," said Jeff Welles, vice president of InvoTech. "To supply the volume of uniforms required by Revel's staff, InvoTech's GIMS system will communicate with UHF-RFID readers installed over each of the 11 U-Pick-It System uniform delivery doors. This enables staff to get their clean uniforms quickly by just swiping an ID card to be on the job faster. We will also install a UHF-RFID bulk reading station for automatically processing uniforms going to and from the laundry to ensure all garments are instantly counted and tracked without hand sorting or counting to save the property money."
