The City of San Antonio has awarded the U.S. Communities Uniform and Work Apparel contract to ServiceWear Apparel. The contract is available for use by cities and towns nationwide effective immediately.
ServiceWear Apparel distributes a comprehensive range of high-quality apparel from leading brands such as Red Kap, Chef Designs, Hi Visibility by Red Kap, Bulwark, The Force, Lee and Wrangler Hero, among others, designed to fulfill the needs of the various public agencies within local governments nationwide.
Included are uniforms and apparel for police and first responders; flame-resistant protective apparel; work apparel including enhanced visibility shirts, jackets and vests; lab/counter coats; hospitality garments and more.
Sponsored by NLC and other national organizations as well as many state municipal leagues, U.S. Communities is a nonprofit government purchasing cooperative that assists public agencies in reducing the cost of purchased goods and services through pooling the purchasing power of public agencies nationwide.
Most local agencies may piggyback on a contract competitively bid by another public agency, thereby eliminating the need to re-bid. Through the buying power of large government purchasers in the U.S. Communities program, all local government agencies receive access to excellent pricing and contract terms.
It is quick and easy to join U.S. Communities. There is no cost to participate and no minimum purchasing requirements. As a registered participant, cities have access to a broad line of competitively solicited contracts which provide thousands of quality products, services and solutions, including many green and eco-friendly products.
