Northbrook, IL, May 27, 2010 - So you’ve built it.  But the question remains:  will they buy from your online store?   Not if they can’t find you, or if your products are yesterday’s news.

Learn the tricks that could turn your store into an online selling machine during a free webinar hosted by UniformMarket on Thursday, June 17th.   Titled, “The Top 10 Things You Can Do Now to Increase Online Sales, it’s the next installment in a series of online training sessions offering practical, easy-to-implement techniques that will increase your visibility, profitability and bottom line.

In one hour, you’ll discover how you can improve sales online using marketing, promotions and improving product selection.  Topics covered include:

1. Use Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and localization to improve visibility – Want to make sure that a potential customer finds you – and not your competitor – when he googles a product he needs?  We’ll show you how.  You’ll also learn how to use Google Analytics, goals and merchant to track, improve and generate sales.

2. Reorganize your home page to feature more timely products – Nobody likes a tired homepage, one that is rarely updated or difficult to navigate.  Repopulate your home page with the latest products and watch your sales grow!

3. Add credit card logos and “trusted” certificate in upper right hand corner of your home page – As the numbers of people shopping online increase, so too, does the potential for identify theft.  Alleviate the concerns of potential buyers while letting them know you’re a credible, reliable source from which to buy.

4. Offer specials and coupons – Coupons and special offers are an excellent way to entice potential shoppers to buy, and current customers to buy more.  But there’s a right way and a wrong way to implement such offers.  Learn the do’s and the don’ts during the hour.

5. Setup opt-in mailing lists and send regular emails on a predictable basis –

With so many channels out there, why do businesses engage in email marketing?  It’s where the action is these days.  People spend an increasing amount of their day online, and if you want to reach them, email marketing is an excellent tactic.  And used properly, it’s one of the most cost-effective tools to communicate with customers.

6. Add more product catalogs to your site – selection, selection, selection! – Variety is the spice of life, and selection the ingredient most desired by today’s online customers.    Are you up to date with your suppliers’ current product offerings?  If not, you risk losing a sale.  Learn how to upload the latest catalogs, quickly and easily.

7.  Use private stores as a sales weapon to open big new accounts – It’s the greatest weapon in an online store’s arsenal – private stores are proven revenue generators, giving customers the ability to order anytime, from any location, with the privacy they desire and security they demand, with only their products visible.  Hear how you can make your customer a customer for life by using private stores.
