NAUMD Officials announced that Kim Glas, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Textiles and Apparel, US Commerce Department, would address the October 15th Dinner during the NAUMD 2009 Imagewear Uniform Conference at the Hilton Toronto Airport Hotel, Toronto, Canada!

Ms. Glas oversees programs and strategies to improve the domestic and international competitiveness of the U.S. fiber, textiles, apparel, footwear, fur and leather goods, and travel goods industries. Ms. Glas also serves as Chairman of the Committee for the Implementation of Textile Agreements (CITA), which supervises the negotiation and implementation of textile and apparel agreements.

The program will also feature Workshops on Issues Facing the Imagewear Uniform Industry in building business across the borders with panelists from both Canada and the United States . There will also be a session on “Green Focus=$” with Denine Woodrow & Karla Macgruder key experts in this new and important field.  Also, many Canadian Parliament members & US Officials have been invited, whose focus is on textiles, apparel and uniform business have also been invited to share their programs to assist both Canadian and American business including:
