The uniforms for Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express, designed by London-based Jermyn Street Design, have been awarded Highly Commended in the Best Managed Contract (Major) category at the 2018 Professional Clothing Awards. The Professional Clothing Awards event is held annually, and recognises the international uniform supply chain, rewarding exceptional workwear, corporate clothing and PPE from around the world.

The relationship between Jermyn Street Design (JSD) and Intercontinental Hotels Group has lasted for over ten years. Eight years ago the JSD team launched the first ever branded uniforms for Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza Hotels (for IHG) across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Jermyn Street Design provides IHG with manufacturing, customer support, warehousing and global distribution.

Susanne Malim, Founder and Creative Director of Jermyn Street Design, comments: “This Award recognises the true team approach that we adopt with all our clients. Our team have worked closely with Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express for the past two years, to design and wearer trial their new look. At the outset JSD was tasked with achieving economies of scale across both brands, and we had to achieve a unique look for both hotel groups. This award endorses the hard work we have put into our partnership, which spans over a decade”

Matt Gell, Category Manager Europe for IHG – procurement and cost efficiency – was thrilled to join the JSD team on stage to receive their award.

Elisabeth Bogensperger, IHG said: “Jermyn Street Design has been an excellent partner, helping us to develop a bespoke uniform range that will enhance the Holiday Inn brand image and provide employees with a great uniform to wear. They have also worked closely with us to ensure unit costs are competitive and the range is great value for money.”

JSD won more Awards than any other supplier on the night, winning all three Professional Clothing Awards categories for which it entered uniform ranges: Holiday Inn for Best Managed Contract (Major); Bare Minerals for Best Managed Contract (Boutique) and Ocado for Best Workwear contract.
