A new plan is in the works to replace the solid navy blue coveralls that is being used by members of the Republic of Singapore Navy and Republic of Singapore Air Force with pixelated uniforms that could be blue or grey in colour. The change could come into effect as early as the first half of next year, if plans to replace the coveralls are approved. According to The Straits Times, the Defence Ministry (Mindef) confirmed that both the navy and air force are "exploring the idea of a new pixellised uniform". A Mindef spokesperson said that more information will be made available when appropriate. Although Mindef did not elaborate further, The Straits Times understands that part of the aim behind the switch is to give SAF personnel a more standardised look.
