randi-blumenthalPenn Emblem Company of Northeast Philadelphia has announced the promotion of Randi Blumenthal Joseph of Bala Cynwyd, PA to the position of President.

A third-generation family-owned business founded in 1940, Penn Emblem is a leading manufacturer and distributor of patches and emblems. Blumenthal Joseph, a granddaughter of Penn's founder, will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the company's manufacturing and marketing functions. As President, she follows in the footsteps of her grandfather and her father, each of whom was President for many years.

Penn Emblem CEO Steve O'Grady said: "Randi is a dynamic leader who truly understands our business and the needs of our customers. Her creativity and passion are driving forces behind our success in the marketplace, and this promotion is enormously positive for our company, our customers, and our employees."

During the past 27 years, Blumenthal Joseph has been involved in many aspects of Penn Emblem's business, including material management, operations, and sales. Her experience also includes initiating and managing the Company's Penn Seal and Penn Text operations. She was named Senior Vice President of Sales in 1994, and since 2005 served Penn Emblem as Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing & Business Development. Blumenthal Joseph is a graduate of American University in Washington, DC, where she earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration.

Within her industry, Blumenthal Joseph has been actively involved in a number of textile and industrial laundry associations, including Textile Rental Services Association of America, Advertising Specialties Institute, Central States Association, and the Universal Purchasing Association. She is also actively involved in philanthropic activities at the local and the national level, and has received awards recognizing her work for Israel Bonds and with Jewish community organizations. She has served as a board member of Federation Day Care and is a current board member of the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House.

Penn Emblem specializes in identification products for the rental uniform and laundry industries, as well as other markets including safety & security, hospitality, healthcare, and the sporting industries.
