SOUTH Grafton store Hip Pocket Workwear and Safety celebrated their five year anniversary this week.
Simone and Steven McPherson have been living in Wooli for the past 27 years with their three children. Five years ago, after a few months of deliberation, the McPherson’s decided to purchase the Hip Pocket franchise.
Mr McPherson said they opened the business because there was a need for a dedicated place to buy work wear and safety gear.
“I could see a need for it… I’ve worked in a couple of business in Grafton and I could see Grafton needed a one-stop shop for all your work requirements.” Mr McPherson said.
Mr McPherson, who manages the store six days a week, said they provide work wear and safety gear for a wide range of industries.
“We don’t just do high vis, we supply to office through to medical, construction,
“We can fit you head to toe with hats right down to socks and boots. We don’t do undies yet, but I can get them,” he said.
