WILMINGTON, Mass., — UniFirst Corporation (NYSE:UNF), an industry leader in the supply and servicing of uniforms, workwear, and ancillary facility products throughout the U.S. and Canada, has again secured a position in the top ten among Selling Power magazine’s annual list of 50 Best Companies to Sell For. The 2016 ranking continues UniFirst’s notable presence on the list, having first appeared in 2003, and marks UniFirst’s third year in a row finishing in the top ten.

Each year, the corporate research team at Selling Power magazine assembles and publishes its list of the 50 Best Companies to Sell For. Companies are evaluated in the following areas: compensation packages for salespeople; sales culture; onboarding and sales-enablement strategies; training and coaching processes; and annual turnover percentage. UniFirst scored higher than such well-known organizations as Google, Microsoft, Xerox, Paychex, and Waste Management.

“We’re excited about our position this year because we have put a lot of energy and new features into our adaptive sales training and coaching programs,” said Jerry L. Messenger, director of sales support at UniFirst. “This honor signals to us that we are continuing to move in the right direction, providing world-class sales training and staff opportunities with an emphasis on successful new account development. We’re fully cognizant that our company’s continued success is directly related to an empowered and skilled sales staff attuned to our goal of best-in-class customer service. We also know that, at the same time, our sales staff has to feel a sense of satisfaction, pride, and contentment. We pay attention to every aspect of the job-satisfaction and career-development meters.”

Selling Power magazine founder and publisher Gerhard Gschwandtner says the companies on the list support excellence in sales through support via coaching, training, and offering sales enablement solutions; by keeping people motivated; and by creating an active selling culture. According to Selling Power, inclusion on the list gives companies a competitive advantage when hiring top sales professionals.
