SEPHORA is set to get even more stylish, having commissioned Prabal Gurung to design new uniforms for staff in its North American stores.

Beauty advisors for the make-up emporium will now wear black uniforms with red trimming, including shift dresses for female staff and sweaters worn with trousers for men.

"My intention was to reflect the style and playfulness of shopping in a Sephora store, but to also make sure they would be functional in such a fast-paced environment," Gurung - whose spring/summer 2012 designs have already been worn by Sarah Jessica Parker and Amanda Seyfried - told WWD. "The dress incorporates one of my favourite design elements, offering a flash of vibrant red, while the women's pant suit and the separates for men give a sleeker, more tailored look."
