CreateMe Technologies has partnered with Avalo and Laguna Fabrics to launch Seed to System, a pilot initiative designed to connect climate-smart cotton, domestic textile manufacturing, and automated garment assembly.
The project aims to show how apparel can be produced faster, closer to market, and with stronger supply chain visibility.
Connecting Cotton, Fabric and Garment Production
Seed to System brings together three parts of the apparel supply chain.
Avalo will support the raw material stage through AI-assisted climate-smart cotton development. Laguna Fabrics will turn the cotton into fabric using its knitting and dyeing capabilities in California.
CreateMe will then use its automated assembly platforms, including MeRA and Pixel, to produce finished garments.
Addressing Fragmented Apparel Production
CreateMe said the initiative is designed to address long-standing fragmentation across apparel production.
The company pointed to gaps between agriculture, textile manufacturing, and garment assembly, along with the effects of offshoring, including longer lead times, lower visibility, and added inefficiencies between production stages.
Focus on Domestic Manufacturing and Automation
The partners say the pilot will demonstrate a more connected model for U.S. apparel manufacturing.
The project combines material innovation, textile development, and robotic garment assembly in one coordinated workflow, with a focus on speed, responsiveness, and supply chain resilience.
The partners plan to continue development through the summer, with a capsule launch planned around Climate Week.
