GALLS has launched the “Next Generation of Protectors” awards program to honor 30 outstanding law enforcement officers under the age of 30. These young professionals are already making a real difference in their departments and communities, and this program shines a light on their service, dedication, and leadership.
Created in partnership with Law Enforcement Today, the program gives departments and community members a chance to recognize rising stars who consistent ly go above and beyond the call of duty. By sharing their stories, GALLS hopes to inspire others and highlight the future of law enforcement.
Nominations are open now through October 31. Every nominee will also be considered for the National Law Enforcement Officer Hall of Fame’s Young Officer Award, to be presented in April 2026. GALLS is proud to serve as the presenting sponsor of the 2026 Hall of Fame ceremony, helping celebrate these dedicated officers on a national stage.
“Launching the ‘Next Generation of Protectors’ award is our way of recognizing the young men and women who are shaping the future of law enforcement,” said Mike Fadden, CEO of GALLS. “Their commitment to service and community is exactly what makes them true protectors.”
Supervisors, colleagues, and community members are encouraged to nominate deserving officers through the Next Generation of Protectors nomination page. The process is simple and open to all, ensuring every outstanding officer has the chance to be recognized.
After nominations close, an independent panel of law enforcement leaders will select the top 30 honorees. Public voting will follow in November to choose the final award recipients.
