Gore is ready to announce an equity investment in smart workwear. Gore is working on this project in collaboration with LifeBooster. LifeBooster is more into worker risk analytics technology and it is one one of the leading developer.

The companies partnership will build a multi-year plan to start a new era in smart safety apparel. The main aim is to reduce job-related injuries for industrial workers. Industrial workers especially those in highly skilled, physically demanding jobs are in the industries like  Automotive, Commercial aviation, manufacturing, and food processing and production.

Both the companies have their unique qualities and their collaboration brings more power. Gore’s unparalleled material science expertise and world-class GORE-TEX Product Technologies collaborated with LifeBooster’s wearable technology.

LifeBooster has an extensible cloud platform that assesses multiple injury risks to workers in industrial environments. It is done by analyzing posture, motion, and vibration thermal stress Now, this will be co-branded smart workwear that takes the assessment of injury risk and worker protection.  

David Dillon is the Leader of Gore’s Smart Apparel opportunity. The field trials of first-generation garments have successfully completed. The systems going to market in fall 2021.

According to data from the Economic Policy Institute and analysis by Accenture, workplace injuries and illnesses costs more to the companies and insurers. It is estimated to be $250 billion annually in direct and indirect costs. Technology helps in the preventive action. This helps to reduce incidents of on-the-job injuries has great potential to make a significant economic and worker safety impact by minimizing injury risks.
