The Uniform Retailers Association (URA) will hold its annual trade show on October 5-8, 2014. This year’s event will take place at the Town and Country Resort & Convention Center in San Diego, California.
URA’s trade show is the industry’s premier event bringing together hundreds of independent retail store owners and operators together with over 60 manufacturers and suppliers. No where else can retailers see, touch, compare and experience all of these choices in one place at one time.
In addition to a comfortable trade show atmosphere, the event offers exceptional learning opportunities. Back by popular demand, Bob Negen will deliver training on both October 7 and 8. Bob believes strongly in delivering no-nonsense, nuts and bolts tips to successfully build your retail business. His expertise comes from real-world experience as an independent store owner for 20 years. There’s no fluff, no corporate mumbo-jumbo – only proven, practical, ideas that work.
Monday’s retailer education day session will focus on How to Develop a WhizBang! Staff! Attendees will learn:
- The tricks to finding the best, most highly qualified candidates.

Tuesday morning’s general session also taught by Bob will Turn Your Staff into a Customer Focused, Service Driven, Selling Machine! The focus is not on theory, but on easy to understand strategies, tips and tricks to boost your store’s sales while providing exceptional service. It’s about how to create a customer focused sales culture.
Learning opportunities will also feature an Expert Retailers Panel where attendees will learn from their peers. Panelists include independent uniform retailers who received 2012 Retailer of the Year awards as chosen by industry suppliers. Panelists will discuss budgeting, in-store sales, hospital shows, merchandising, marketing techniques and much more.
Retailers and manufacturers are encouraged to arrive in San Diego early on Sunday morning for the golf outing. Taking place at the Riverwalk Golf Club, what better way to get to know your peers than to participate in this year’s event? Attendees will finish out Sunday with a Perfect 10 Celebration Party recognizing the unique member benefit known as the Perfect 10 Program that provides retailers with annual discounts at major manufacturers and suppliers. Retailers registered for the show as well as Perfect 10 company representatives will be treated to beverages and snacks in appreciation of their support.
Attendees will have an opportunity to get a sneak peek at what they’ll see on the trade show floor when they attend the Annual Fashion Show & Awards Ceremony on Monday evening.
