World Emblem has opened a new 72,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas, expanding its U.S. production capacity and reshoring jobs previously based in Asia.
The new factory replaces the company’s earlier regional site in northwest Houston, which operated in a smaller 35,000 square foot space. The upgraded facility will initially produce up to 500,000 emblems and patches per week.
Manufacturing Jobs Return to the U.S.
More than 150 employees are already working at the Houston plant, including 50 jobs that have been reshored from Asia. The company plans to hire up to 100 additional employees as demand for its emblems, patches, and promotional products continues to grow.
“We are excited to open our new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Houston and look forward to hiring additional employees from the area in the coming months,” said Randy Carr, CEO of World Emblem.
Carr added that expanding U.S. manufacturing will help the company reduce tariff exposure and improve supply chain efficiency amid rising geopolitical and trade uncertainties.
Expanding Domestic Production
World Emblem operates additional U.S. manufacturing facilities in Norcross, Georgia, and Upland, California, with more than 400 employees in the United States and 1,500 employees globally.
By manufacturing closer to customers, the company says it can deliver faster turnaround times than overseas suppliers. Some patches and emblems can be produced and shipped within 24 hours.
