Popular Japanese ramen chain Ippudo hired Engineered Garments, a fashion brand led by New York based designer Daiki Suzuki, to design the uniforms of its New York stores.

The collaboration was initiated by Suzuki and Ippudo NY’s manager. The jacket and apron designed for the uniform are adorned with the thunder crest symbolic to Ippudo. The uniforms are available for purchase as well, with the jacket priced at 300 dollars and the apron at 100 dollars.

Launched in 1999, Engineered Garments won the “2008 Best New Menswear Designer In America” from GQ/CFDA. Suzuki’s designs bring out the best of traditional America, and his designs can be purchased in Japan, North America and Europe.
