Metlon Corporation, the Cranston, RI-based Authorized Distributor of 3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Material, announced today the addition of its new Roland Plotter Cutter equipment purchased in conjunction with 5807 Custom Cuttable Transfer Film , 3M’s newest product to enhance nighttime visibility. This technology enables Metlon to provide clients’ with pre-cut reflective logos and other customized graphics ready to laminate to their workwear. Typical applications for 5807 Transfer Film range from T-shirts, sweatshirt, vests and rainwear to accessories such as hats.
This latest investment in customer service positions Metlon as a one-stop provider for customized reflective material for its clients. Developed as a cost effective solution that also enhances brand image, the 5807 Transfer Film enhances the overall appearance of the reflective application as well as increases the number of potential applications available to companies to enhance nighttime visibility.
Wayne Etchells, Metlon’s executive vice-president, notes, “This equipment increases our ability to meet our customers’ growing demand for safety apparel and accessories. Now, we can save our customers time and money, especially those customers requiring smaller quantities of reflective on products. Numbers, letters and creative designs can be made reflective, creating new opportunities for companies to distinguish or identify key roles of employees as well as to instill company pride with more aesthetically appealing uniforms or accessories.

As one of only three nationally based Authorized Distributors of 3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Material, Metlon supplies a wide variety of reflective roll goods and reflective narrow fabrics for numerous industries and applications, and stocks many of the reflective items used in the making of high visibility shirts, vests, etc. Recently, in highest demand are those items meeting the ANSI/ISEA 107-2004 standard, including 5807.
Metlon currently stocks 5807 in three (3) standard widths: 12”, 19”, and 24” for prompt delivery. 5807 is certified to the high visibility retro-reflective standards of ANSI/ISEA 107-2004.
