Uniform Advantage will create 50 jobs in downtown Fort Lauderdale after securing a public incentive deal.

The uniforms company worked with the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, Enterprise Florida, city officials, CareerSource Broward and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity on the deal, which will lead to a $7.5 million capital investment. The company would receive $250,000 for creating and maintaining the jobs, with $50,000 from the city and the rest from the state.

The relocation from Plantation and the lease were previously announced, but the number of new jobs and the incentive package were recently disclosed. The company also goes by the name Uniforms Direct.

Cresa South Florida represented Uniform Advantage in signing a 52,683-square-foot lease at Tower 101, at 101 N.E. Third Ave. It will be the tower’s largest tenant and put its name on the building. Uniform Advantage will occupy the top two floors, plus part of two other floors.
