AmeriPride Services Inc., a leading supplier of linen and uniform rental services in North America, today announced the acquisition of Wood City Laundry in Cloquet, Minn. AmeriPride began supporting Wood City with products and service in late February after a fire and began fully servicing their customer accounts out of its Hibbing branch and Duluth service center in early March under the leadership of Dave Hardy, General Manager.

“AmeriPride has been serving area businesses for more than 100 years, and this acquisition provides a great opportunity to expand our market share in the area while introducing new products and services to the customers,” said John Sutherland, SVP of Operations. “We feel this is a nice fit for our business and our new customers, and a great opportunity for everyone involved.”

The companies are now executing a seamless transition of the business to AmeriPride. In fact, Wood City Laundry owner Gary Tyman has agreed to join the AmeriPride team and continue building and maintaining his longstanding customer relationships.

“The support AmeriPride provided us during our crisis helped us determine that they are the right company to take care of our customers in the future,” said Tyman. “AmeriPride is a strong, family-owned business that shares our values, and we feel confident that our customers will continue to receive great service.”

“I am very confident in our ability to successfully support our new customers,” said Hardy. “Our Hibbing production facility has the capacity and resources to take on the additional volume, and we are eager to incorporate the new customers into our business.”
