Metlon Corporation, authorized distributor of 3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Material, announced today the release of its new sample card, which features six examples of 3M Scotchlite Reflective Material products laminated onto polyester ribbon.
The Cranston, RI-based manufacturer selected for this new product literature the most frequently requested products. Specifically, 8712 and 5510, the ANSI /ISEA 107 & 207 Compliant silver heat transfer film, is featured in three of the laminated narrow fabric samples: in a single 2” width applied to 2-1/4” fluorescent yellow grosgrain ribbon; in a 2” wide single laminated strip applied to 4-1/2” fluorescent yellow polyester ribbon; and a single 2” stripe applied to white 2-1/4” white grosgrain ribbon, labeled 5510 transfer film and referred to as Comfort Trim, which was developed as a segmented home wash trim. Also other samples that are non-ANSI Compliant using 8712 are samples with 2 stripes of ½” wide reflective transfer film applied to red grosgrain ribbon, and ¼” wide reflective film on a 7/8” strip of blue grosgrain ribbon. In addition, a 1-1/2” orange polyester ribbon features 7/8” wide segmented reflective film.
The back of the sample card shows standard ribbon sizes, standard widths of the ribbon and reflective film, noting that other widths are available, and that more than 70 standard colors are available. Additional information included on the back side of the sample card are details about special order ribbons Metlon supplies in custom widths, and special order reflective materials, such as 8735, a flame resistant transfer film and 9720, an industrial wash film transfer film . The company also can laminate reflective material to the customers’ ribbon, webbing, and other substrates, upon request, and lists specifications such as compatible substrates, terms for minimum orders, and projected delivery cycles.
