Statistics and information portray how commercial laundry companies efficiently and cost-effectively manage and deliver clean textile products while protecting employees and the environment.

These public-facing sections highlight operational efficiencies for industrial, hospitality and healthcare customers and how massive-scale laundering builds sustainability by conserving water, energy and chemicals. Also detailed are the business-practice improvements the industry has made in recent years to minimize workplace illnesses and injuries.

Site visitors learn the benefits that major industries derive from using textile rental services by viewing images and statistics representing different businesses that rely on commercial laundries including  auto dealers and service, food and beverage retailers, full- and quick-service restaurants, manufacturers, hospitals and ambulatory care.

“TRSA is proactively reaching out to textile service customers to expand the market for reusable textiles,” stated TRSA President Joseph Ricci. “The new consumer-facing web site supports our members’ efforts to best position their businesses as efficient, cost-effective business partners for industrial, retail, hospitality and healthcare consumers concerned about image, sustainability and cost. Commercial laundries are essential to the clean, safe operation of our customers’ businesses and contribute mightily to the quality of their work and enhancing their public images.”

The new web site also includes a “search” for consumers to find local textile service providers by industry (hospitality, healthcare, industrial). A prospective customer of the industry can key in the zip code of his/her business location to generate a listing and map of TRSA members’ facilities within 100 miles of that spot.

Like the existing www.TRSA.org, the new site contains password-protected areas for use only by TRSA members to access research, presentations, benchmarking and training tools. It also enables members to see the complete text of items (such as descriptions of federal regulations). The News and Blog section is another example with its timely detailed reporting of industry developments and commentaries on business practices.

Any visitor to the site can request subscriptions to the award-winning monthly Textile Rental magazine or Textile Rental Weekly e-news as well as details on meetings and seminars. These include the upcoming Leadership and Legislative Conference (March 21-23 in Washington), Production Management Institute (April 1-7, Denton, Texas) and Executive Management Institute (August 7-11).

Many more features will be added to the new www.TRSA.org including member-only capabilities previously provided on the old site, such as links to Textile Rental magazine and other resources.
