burgerkingThe U.S. Postal Service managed to get it its way from Burger King, but it took some legal intervention. The Postal Service didn’t see the humor in a new Burger King advertisement that showed a postal worker shirking his delivery duties to catch a BK breakfast, The Washington Post reported.

At one point in the ad, the mail carrier sings, “With pancakes and eggs on my plate, the mail has to wait.” Another ad shows a carrier handing over his mail bag to a woman and then marching off to the nearest BK, the Post reported.

This is clearly not the appropriate image for an operation that prides itself on not being deterred by rain or snow or gloom of night. Lawyers contacted the fast-food company, which then agreed to remove the Postal Service’s distinctive “Sonic Eagle” logo from the uniform shirts of the carriers in the ads, the Post reported.
