Fun is in the air. Well, quite literally for SpiceJet which has introduced weekend uniforms for its crew. Colorful kurtis and denims for the women, and polo shirts with jeans for the men, the new uniform could be a welcome change from the formal attire they usually don during the week.

Designed in-house, it is a part of the airline’s initiatives to make flying a friendlier and warmer experience; now add soft rock boarding and landing music, new cabin headrest colors and a revamped menu to the experience.

“The weekend uniform could appeal to executives who are increasingly into casual dressing on Fridays. It would be food for thought for customers to see our crew as the ‘girl or boy next door’ people and not as formal, distant figures,” says Sanjiv Kapoor, chief operating officer, SpiceJet.
