AmeriPride Services, a leading textile rental services and supply company in North America, today announced that Senior Director of Operations Matt Wenzel has been appointed to a one-year term as president of the Independent Textile Rental Association (ITRA), an international trade association dedicated to promoting and growing the independent textile rental industry through education, training, events and resources.

Wenzel’s responsibilities as president of the association will be to help grow the association, provide consultation and guidance to association executives and oversee the planning and execution of the mid-year training meeting and annual convention, ensuring educational and networking opportunities provide real value for independent operator members. Wenzel touts the benefits of being an independent operator and acknowledges the impact on his own company.

“AmeriPride has been an independent, family-owned business for more than 125 years and is proud of its long legacy of service to our customers and the community,” said Wenzel. “Being a privately-owned business distinguishes us from most of the large public companies within our industry. We make business decisions based on what is best for our customers and the long-term welfare of our employees and our company vs. short-term financial goals.”

Prior to this appointment, Wenzel served on the Board of Directors for three years as general board member and vice president. Following his term as president, he will be on the board for an additional year as immediate past president.

This is a volunteer position for Wenzel and he will continue his full responsibilities at AmeriPride during his term. He currently provides oversight to general managers at branch locations in Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota and Texas.
