ASI Names Melinda Ligos Senior Vice President

The Advertising Specialty Institute®, the largest media and marketing organization serving the advertising specialty industry, today announced it has named Melinda Ligos senior vice president.

Ms. Ligos reports to Rich Fairfield, publisher and executive vice president of ASI.  She is responsible for all editorial and educational print, online and broadcast products and member research, as well as employee and corporate communications and public relations.  She also continues as editor in chief of ASI’s six magazines: Advantages, Counselor, Stitches, Successful Promotions, Supplier Global Resource and Wearables.  Ms. Ligos joined ASI in 2005 as editor-in-chief.

Ms. Ligos previously worked as editorial director at Nielsen Media in New York City, and has been a frequent contributor to The New York Times. She has a degree in journalism from the University of Maryland and a Master’s Degree in education from Seton Hall University. She lives in Newtown, Pennsylvania, with her husband Mark and daughters Birdie, Kelsey and Joely.
