Prime-Tex International led by President Victor Harary, is pleased to announce the appointment of Bill Wedekind as Southeast regional sales director for SafetyFirst Uniforms. After starting his career  in the apparel industry in 1971 and devoting 12 years to footwear, Wedekind spent 25 years in the rental laundry market.  He advanced to top executive roles in providing market-leading industrial uniform products.  Previously, he held a variety of sales and merchandising positions.  He was a two-term member of the Board of Directors of the Uniform and Textile Service Association and has been active in the Textile and Apparel Manufacturers and Merchants trade group. “Bill brings to Prime-Tex an unparalleled understanding of industrial uniform marketing,” said Harary. “He is keenly aware of the niche opportunities available to workwear providers. Businesses today need specialized garment solutions for the variety of jobs they perform. With our mainline products and customization capabilities, Bill will help uniform companies fulfill a wide variety of such needs.” Based in Nashville, Wedekind will work with both uniform rental and sales companies. The product line includes flame-retardant shirts, pants, coveralls, and jackets, many with high-visibility trims. “Our mission is to be first to mind, fast to market and foremost in quality and service of private label and branded fabrics such as Indura and Nomex IIIA,” Harary said. SafetyFirst provides the uniform industry with protective, public safety, and emergency response apparel.  Prime-Tex is a New Jersey-based manufacturer providing a wide range of industrial and linen garments.  “Our products and services stand for quality, consistency, dependability, function and value,” said Harary. Prime-Tex’s green manufacturing processes help reduce uniform providers’ carbon footprint.  The company emphasizes speed-to-market products, providing customers with a distinct advantage in a highly competitive industry.
