Cranston, RI – Cranston, RI-based Metlon Corporation announced today the launch of its new website, which incorporates new photographs and a more comprehensive, user friendly experience with its three distinctly different business sectors: Reflective products, custom slitting and metallic yarns. An  Authorized Distributor of 3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Material, Metlon  has expanded  the reflective segment of the site to streamline the user’s search for specific product categories, individual items, and the technical information associated with each product.  There are technical data sheets on each product, videos that demonstrate how reflective material works, the difference among reflective products ,  and an illustration of how to view reflective yarn.  The website also includes a comparison chart for easy selection of reflective roll goods products, and links to the 3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Material website for additional information. New photographs on the home page highlight the latest of Metlon’s products and services.

The reflective products segment is now sub-divided into four categories; specifically, reflective roll goods, narrow fabrics, reflective graphic transfers and logos, and Retroglo ®Yarn, which is the company’s own trademark product.  Reflective products increase the nighttime visibility of the wearer, reflecting light from the wearer’s apparel or accessories back to the light source, such as a car’s headlights.

Wayne Etchells, president of Metlon  Corp., notes that while the customers of each of the three  business segments is different, so too are the customers within the reflective product categories. “From those who need ANSI/ISEA Compliance reflective roll goods, which has seven different categories and many products within, to those who have company images and corporate logos to be applied to apparel that either we make or the customer supplies, to those who need reflective applied to their ribbons, or webbing or other substrates, the listings are wide-ranging and can be cumbersome. We created a much easier way for customers to access the information they need online.”

Viewing details of each product  is also easier and faster , as Metlon re-created 3M’s  4-page product brochures,  providing customers  enlarged versions of the document, as well as adding a  one-click to-order information column.  Adding a representation of 3M‘sample cards, Metlon photographed the selection of cards, made each product number larger and bolder, and created a link to further information.
