Portland, Ore. (July 18, 2013) – Magnum, the global uniform footwear brand, announced the appointment of Martin Berendsen as Magnum President. He will be leading the Magnum Brand and the global direction of all aspects of the Magnum business. He is based in the Amsterdam Head Office.
Martin Berendsen has joined Hi-Tec Sports International Holdings b.v, as President of Magnum boots in May 2013. He will be responsible for the further growth of Magnum, and the implementation of new categories such as Health Care and Service.
Having spent the last 17 years in the USA he was in charge of a number of companies such as Dr. Martens, Caterpillar footwear, Geox and Fast Forward Footwear. Additionally, Martin was President of VF’s International Action Sports, and CEO of the Turkish company Lota. In earlier years, Martin was Managing Director of Reebok Nederland, Rockport Benelux and Boks International. Both Martin and his wife are third generation shoe people, and he has spent his whole life being involved with footwear. Martin, his wife and three kids are all Dutch nationals.
