The same officers are patrolling Papillion streets and directing traffic during large events.
But those officers now will be sporting a new look.
The Papillion Police Department has rolled out a series of uniform changes in the last few weeks. The changes have been in the works for quite some time, said Chief Scott Lyons.
A committee made up of about 10 officers of various ranks meets on a regular basis to vet equipment and training needs, staff requirements and morale issues. One of the first issues the group, named the Pride Committee, tackled was the dated uniform.
