The URA (Uniform Retailers Association) is making final preparations for it’s annual Trade Show in October. This year’s event, “Beyond Expectations”, will be held in historic Charleston, SC at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Convention Center from October 5 thru 8.
This is the industry’s premier event, attended by hundreds of independent retail store owners and operators, manufacturers and suppliers, all focused on growing their businesses. The show provides retailers unique opportunities to experience what is available in the marketplace in a relaxed comfortable setting.
In addition to the trade show floor showcasing the retailer booths, attendees will find educational workshops and special evening events.
Workshops will be held Sunday and include UniformMarket founder Rick Levine with an afternoon of engaging presentations discussing online stores and how uniform retailers can get the most out of them. UniformMarket has been building online solutions for the uniform industry for 8 years and recently launched a new platform allowing retailers and manufacturers to seamlessly share data and work together. Uniform Solutions is also scheduled to give presentations.
On Monday Education Day highlights include “Prescription for Uniform Retailing – Maximizing Profit by Making Inventory Work for You”, “Hospital Trends – How Uniform Programs Impact Patient Outcomes”, “Compression Hosiery in the Uniform Marketplace” and “Improving Retailer Profits”.
Tuesday continues with a presentation of the results of the URA’s recently completed landmark study analyzing trends in the US scrubs market will be presented. . The survey was designed to help independent uniform retailers and scrub manufacturers meet the evolving needs of nurses and other healthcare professionals.
Evening events include the popular annual fashion show showcasing the newest looks from the leaders in medical and work apparel. The Champion Awards honoring manufacturers in various categories will also be presented.
