Synek was at Cintas Corporation for the first 16 years of his career. He held the position of Group Vice President before he left to join Allied Waste. At Allied Waste, he was Senior Vice President of Southern Operations before the merger with Republic Services in 2008. He continued as Senior Vice President of Operations until he was appointed Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Operations in 2011.
