Cintas Corp’s Linen Business Sold to Louisiana-based Loop Linen Service

According to a news release, Louisiana-based textile rental business Loop Linen Service purchased Cintas Corp’s linen business in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Houma, Lake Charles, and Alexandria.  

This news was made official on July 28th. It was reported that the company has also laid off an undisclosed number of employees in response to the poor demand for its products and services due to the ongoing pandemic.  

However, Cintas will continue to run its uniform rental and facility services part of the business in Louisiana markets from its 101 Venture Way facility at Lafayette  

Westwego based Loop Linen Service acquired Cintas Corp as part of its growth strategy. Its President Scott Burke said, “This acquisition will position Loop Linen Service’s to continue to expand its Louisiana-based markets. To ensure continuity and a smooth transition, Loop Linen and Cintas will work closely in the next thirty days for the benefit of our customers and employees.” 

Cintas Corp began as a family business in 1929 and went on to become one of the largest companies among the uniform industry and provides corporate identity uniform programs and cater to independent auto repair shops to large hotel chains. 

Loop Linen Service is a family-owned TRSA Hygienically Clean certified business that initially started operating in 1912.
