According to Vietnam News, budget airline Jetstar Pacific, a part of the Vietnam Airlines Corporation has been rebranded into Pacific Airlines. On July 31, they have also launched their uniforms with new design and color patterns for the crew members.

The brand name was changed in June after the agreement on franchise and the joint system ended with the Jetstar Group. This deal was backed by the two major shareholders, Vietnam Airlines and Qantas, an Australian Airline.

This change was planned to leverage the growing Vietnam Airline market strength to improve the airline’s production activities and in turn profitability. Pacific Airlines has already begun repainting its flights and taking part in important operations like the De Nang evacuation.

Back in 2008, Qantas Group has invested in Pacific Airlines and rebranded it as Jetstar Pacific to bring it in line with its other budget operating Jetstar that flies between Oceania and East Asia. However, Jetstar Pacific is now going back to its original name of Pacific Airlines, with Qantas stepping back.

On July 31, the crew members flaunted their new uniform that had a deliberate color choice of dark blue that is similar to Vietnam Airlines. Pacific Airlines described the new uniform design as “youthful and modern style but still retains the elegance of Asian culture.”

The airline opted dark blue as its dominant color to bring forth a sense of security and added a bit of flair to it in the form of orange color to represent youthful and energetic spirit. This includes ties and ascots.

Pacific Airlines’s logo is stylized from the three wings of the aircraft with a layout arranged in larger sizes. It is a metaphor for the message “Joy to take off.”
