Introducing this season, Polartec® Delta™ fabrics feature the new Fresh Face technology, enhancing the wearer’s experience by not only providing cooling and moisture management but also effectively reducing odors within the garment.
Fresh Face is derived from a naturally sourced and non-GMO mint oil plant extract, carefully harvested and distilled in the picturesque Willamette region of Oregon. The extraction process is simple and environmentally friendly, aligning with Polartec’s dedication to Eco-Engineering. Furthermore, Fresh Face has obtained esteemed global certifications such as Bluesign and Oeko tex Standard 100, reaffirming its commitment to sustainability.
To ensure its efficacy, Polartec conducted rigorous testing to compare the performance of Fresh Face with their previous silver-based odor control additive. The evaluation process involved an extended six-week period of garment use, followed by a comprehensive smell test to assess Fresh Face’s effectiveness. The garments were then subjected to an impressive 50 wash cycles to simulate accelerated aging and wear. Finally, they were reintroduced into real-world conditions for an additional six weeks. The outcome was unequivocal: Fresh Face technology exhibited the same exceptional performance as the previous odor control method.
