Reflective Apparel Introduces RAflect50, High Visibility ANSI Compliant Uniforms
By Scott A. Corrao, president of Reflective Apparel

Reflective Apparel has introduced RAflect50, a new product line to address a market need for high visibility ANSI compliant work shirts that withstand the rigors of industrial laundries.

RAflect50 products are designed to meet ANSI safety requirements and engineered to withstand at least 50 wash cycles in an industrial laundry environment. It saves companies time and money when high visibility uniforms are durable through industrial wash cycles while still maintaining the highest safety standards over the long haul.

RAflect50 workwear uniforms offer ease of processing for the laundry, longevity for employers and safety for wearers.

Ease of Processing

There are rigorous service requirements for garments that run through a rental laundry process. To be considered fit for industrial laundries, garments must be able to withstand at least 50 wash cycles, which are processed at high temperatures with harsh chemicals. RAflect50 has been independently tested to withstand at least 50 washes (a two-year life cycle) under these conditions. AATCC test results confirm excellent fabric physicals, including:

  • 4.9 out of 5 for snag resistance
  • 5 out of 5 for pilling resistance
  • 5 out of 5 for colorfastness
  • < 3.5 shrinkage
Options for Employers

RAflect50 products are available in multiple styles, including rental-friendly T-shirts, woven work shirts and polos. Employees can be distinguished by department by wearing different shirt silhouettes. A safety manager or engineer may wear a polo, while workers may wear a tee or work shirt, for instance. All RAflect50 products feature segmented reflective tape for high visibility, comfort, longevity and durability and comply with ANSI Class II High Visibility standards. The micro pique fabric used in RAflect50 high visibility garments received third-party certification for ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 High Visibility Compliance. RAflect50 products can also be customized with company logos and corporate branding.

Safety for Employees

Comfortable high visibility uniforms increase safety compliance. The more comfortable a safety garment is, the more often employees stay in compliance with safety standards.

It is critical to adhere to safety standards, such as the American National Standard for High-Visibility Safety Apparel and Accessories (ANSI/ISEA 107-2015) standard, established by American National Standards Institute, Inc. No compromises should be made that violate guidelines.

RAflect50 high visibility uniforms offer lasting comfort for workers. The ANSI Class II High Visibility RAflect50 line features 3M™ Scotchgard™ soil release for easy care and 3M™ Moisture Wicking finish. The performance fabric wicks away moisture three times faster than cotton. Comfort and cooling features also include vented underarms and back yoke and Silverplus® technology to minimize odors. Comfort features also include segmented reflective tape. Segmented tape is lightweight and flexible, which minimizes chafing and is more breathable than solid tape.

RAflect50 is available through Reflective Apparel’s network of distributors.
